September 2020
I have been waiting for another Vegas trip since December 2019. I was all set to go in early April and again at the end of May, but then COVID hit. That changed everything! The world basically slowed to a crawl, casinos shut down, hotels shut down, airlines slowed down, and country borders closed.
Things are now getting a bit better and I have a new Vegas trip on the books! September 2020 I am heading back to the city I love! This will be my longest ever stay in Sin City. I will be there for 10 nights, and I will be staying at four different hotels, one of which will be a brand new hotel for me.
Four Different Hotels
Caesars Palace
When I arrive, my first stay will be at Caesars Palace. I have stayed there once before, and it’s a beautiful hotel! I am a Diamond Plus member with Ceasars Entertainment – CET – and that is a big help! I am able to get comped hotel nights at many of the Caesars properties. And when you achieve Diamond status, Caesars will also waive your resort fees, so Free is actually Free.
The Plaza
After my first two nights at Caesars, I will be moving to the Plaza, downtown. This will be my first time at the Plaza and also my first time staying anywhere downtown. I’m excited to finally stay a few nights on Fremont Street and enjoy all the fun and excitement of Downtown! Rumor has it that comps are also much easier to get at the downtown casinos.
Paris Casino and Hotel
My third stop will be the Paris Hotel. This is another CET property, and I have stayed here a few times. It is mid-strip, which makes it convenient to get to so many other properties. It’s also right across the street from the Bellagio, and if you can get a room that faces the strip, then you will have the beautiful view of the Bellagio Fountains every time you look out the window! That is definitely a plus!
The Cosmopolitan
My fourth and final stop will be the Cosmopolitan! I have stayed here a few times before, and this has definitely become my favorite strip property. The big draw here, in my opinion, is their Terrace Suites! It is one of the only properties where you can have an actual terrace to enjoy. And if you love watching the Bellagio Fountains, then you have to ask for a Fountain View Terrace! I love waking up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee on the terrace. Now that’s a vacation!
