My Review of The Cosmo
The Cosmpolitan of Las Vegas, or usually just called The Cosmo, opened on the Las Vegas strip in December of 2010. It is located between Aria and The Bellagio, two other premium properties in Las Vegas. My first time staying there was only three years ago, but since then it has become one of my favorite places to stay in Las Vegas! My main reason, the Terrace Rooms! There is nothing like sitting on your Cosmo Terrace in the evenings, enjoying a glass of wine, and watching the Bellagio Fountains!
Cosmo Rooms
The room choices at the Cosmo range all the way from a basic City Room to a Terrace Studio with a Fountain View to a Wrap Around 2-Bedroom Suite. Any of the rooms are great, but in my opinion, if I’m going to spend the money to stay at Cosmo, then I want a room with a Terrace and a Fountain View! I have stayed in a Terrace Studio with a Fountain View and a Terrace One Bedroom Fountain View. These two rooms are very similar and both amazing, but with a couple of additional features in the One Bedroom.
Cosmo Terrace Studio Fountain View
My first stay at Cosmo was in the Terrace Studio with the Fountain View! We were up on the 23rd floor and had a wonderful view of the Bellagio Fountains. When you first walk into the room the first thing you see is a beautiful sitting area with a large couch and a comfy chair. The area is decorated with sophisticated artwork and furniture, and there is also a TV that is viewable from the sitting area.
As you continue on inside, there is a small bar area that includes a minibar and snacks, but also an empty refrigerator for your personal items. I take full advantage of this on every trip! There is no coffee maker if that is something that you are looking for.
There is a large closet so you can unpack all of your clothes. They supply a couple of wonderfully comfortable robes for you to wear while you are staying there. But beware! Do not take them with you! If you take one home, they will charge $125 to your credit card. There is also a safe tucked away in the closet, just in case you win that big jackpot! The bathroom is also very large. You have a double sink, a Jacuzzi tub, and a separate stand up shower. The toilet is set apart with a door separating it from the rest of the bathroom.
From there, you move on into the bedroom. I had the King room, and the king-sized bed is super comfortable! One of my favorite things, laying in bed and looking out over the terrace to the skyline of Las Vegas! There is a second TV in the bedroom. This also comes in handy if your roommate wants to watch a different program.
Cosmo One Bedroom Fountain View
On my most recent Las Vegas visit, December 2019, I again stayed at Cosmo, but this time I tried the One Bedroom Fountain View Suite. This room is very similar to the Studio, with just a couple of upgrades. The “bedroom” has a pocket door so that you can close the bedroom off from the rest of the suite. This does come in handy if you are sharing a room with someone who wants to stay up later.
Soaking Tub in the Bathroom
The biggest draw for me for this One Bedroom Suite, is the large, deep soaking tub in the bathroom that has a window also overlooking the fountains. After coming back to your room from a busy night in the casino, you can go and relax in a wonderful hot soaking bath while looking out over the Vegas skyline, and enjoying a glass of wine (or whatever you prefer). And I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this!
Cosmo 2 Queen Bed Fountain View Studio
Just recently, I stayed in the 2 Queen Bed Fountain View Studio, and rather than do a separate review, I though I would just add it here. The room is the same size as the King Terrace Studio, but the floor layout is just a bit different to adjust for the 2 beds. Due to this, the sitting area is next to the terrace and there is a bit less seating. Other than those small differences, the room is basically the same as the King Studio. If you are in need of 2 beds, then this is a great choice!
