There is so much to do on Royal Caribbeans Oasis of the Seas cruise ship, that I really don’t even know where to start. I had seven nights to explore, enjoy, and eat on this beautiful ship, but even seven nights wasn’t quite enough to see it all! Of course, part of that is probably because I spent a lot of time in the casino. LOL So let’s start there
Casino Royale
Casino Royale is located on Deck 4 of the Oasis. This casino is one of the largest in Royal Caribbean’s fleet of cruise ships. Casino Royale features over 400 slot and video poker machines for you to choose from, as well as table games such as Black Jack, Three Card Poker, Craps, Roulette, and others. Whenever you play, be sure to use your Seapass card. If you are playing a machine, there is a slot for you to enter the card. On a table game, you can give your card to the dealer. This will track your play, and if you play enough, you can earn yourself a free cruise! Not to mention, you could win yourself a nice Jackpot!
Ship Activities
I’m sure you are familiar with the Lido Deck on a cruise ship that includes the pools, and hot tubs, basketball courts, and other gaming activities. But there are so many more things to do on a cruise ship these days. On the Oasis you could choose from activites such as a rock climbing wall, laser tag, a carousel, the FlowRider, a zipline, a huge slide, not to mention all of the various shows you can watch. You will never lack for something to do. The hard part will be trying to decide what to do next!
So Much Food
Part of the fun of a cruise is all the different foods that you can eat. I ate most of my evening meals in the MDR – Main Dining Room. The evening menu is never the same, and each night features something different. However, there are so many more choices of eating establishments. You can find anything from a hot dog stand, an ice cream shop, a late night pizzaria (and there is nothing better than a slice of pizza after a late night at the casino!) all the way up to a Steakhouse, Sushi place, or Italian. Whatever you might be craving, you can find something that will fill that need! And if you’re thirsty, try one of the many bars located all over the ship, including the Tipsy Robot Bionic Bar.
Ports of Call
If you just can’t find enough to do on the ship, there will be ports of call where you can leave the ship to find more adventure. On our tour of the Western Caribbean we stopped in Labadee, Haiti which is Royal Caribbean’s private island, Jamaica, and Cozumel. You can choose to go ashore and see all of the activities the ports have to offer. If you prefer, you can stay onboard the ship. It’s sometimes nice to take advantage of the pools and activities while there are less people on the ship.
Check out my YouTube video of my day at Labadee Haiti:
If all of this doesn’t keep you busy enough for the week, then there is also a gym with a spa. You can go workout or get a massage or a facial. You can find an art gallery to walk through or even purchase a nice piece of art to take home with you. In my opinion, if you find your self bored on this beautiful ship, then you are definitely not trying hard enough. I’m sure I forgot to add some activites or restaurants or other fun. But I hope you find yourself on the Oasis of the Seas on of these days, and you explore the beauty of this ship for yourself!
