I’m headed back to the happiest place on earth! This will be another solo trip, staying at Bally’s in a comped resort studio suite for 5 nights. I have never stayed at Bally’s so this will be a new one for me. And it’s also a belated birthday present for me!
As I sit here typing the start of this Trip Report, the snow is coming down outside. The first real snow of the season and when does it come? Of course, the weekend I am traveling.
UGH! I looked for a flight to fly out Friday but the price increase was too much to make it doable. And by the time SWA announced the weather factors, it was too late for me to make a Friday flight. My flight is not until 3PM tomorrow, and this system should be east of us by late Saturday early Sunday, so I’m hoping things will go smoothly tomorrow.
My original plan was to go last week, because my birthday was on the 9th. But Alas, there was not a comp to be found that night, and the room prices were 5-6 times normal. At first I thought, Wow, my birthday must be a big event out there! But, no, there’s this little event called the CES – Consumer Electronics Show going on that week. Maybe you’ve heard of it?
I don’t have a lot planned for the week, but my main goal is to have a WINNNG trip! It’s been probably since June, that I had my last winning trip – where I come home with more than I brought. At this point, I would be happy coming home even!
A few items on the agenda:
- My first dealt Royal! fingers crossed (or any Royal!)
- Lots of Video Poker
- Play a little more slots than I usually do (I’ll try to go for a couple of CET badges)
- Meet up with at least 1 VMBer
- I have $50 in Food credit and I’m thinking Hell’s Kitchen
- A day at Cosmo as I have $75 in Free Play from them
I’m hoping to get outside more and walk the strip. When I was there in September it was pretty hot, and I did not walk outside much. I would like to get more pictures than just VP hits and food. Some of the latest TRs I have seen have some amazing pictures and I need to try to keep up.
I’m hoping to keep this as live as possible! And everyone, please, send good thoughts for my flight tomorrow! Hang on Vegas, I’m coming!
Here is the obligatory pet pic. Lucy is hiding and ignoring me. She sees the suitcase come out and knows what’s up. I do usually get a howling greeting when I get home, but I’m never quite sure whether she’s happy to see me or cussing me out for leaving!
Our snow total is now up to five inches! I’m hoping my flight will be problem free tomorrow. Good night!
