Good morning from Vegas! As you can see the sun is just starting to come up and it’s a bit foggy. I”m hoping for the sunshine to come back. I’m meeting a friend at Mon Ami Gabi (to be referred to as MAG) this morning for breakfast! Can’t wait. Then either today or tomorrow I’m hoping to get in a 1000 Tier Credit day.
While waiting for breakfast, I’m sitting in the Paris casino and won $20 on old school Buffalo.
Then it was time for breakfast! It’s always great to meet up with people from our Vegas board! And MAG is a great place for breakfast. Since it was a dreary, chilly morning, we ate on the indoor patio but right by the window. Still a great place to people watch and see the fountains!
They have so many great choices for breakfast, and this time I went with the Steak Eggs Benedict. They did not disappoint! We had a great time chatting and eating and people watching!
After breakfast, I went back to the old school Buffalo. It had treated me well earlier, so I tried it again. I played the $2 bet, which I think is max bet on those older games, and I hit the bonus! I got some great line hits and ended up at over $200 for the bonus round. Thanks Buffalo!
I headed back over to Bally’s and decided to try some video poker in the high limit room. $1 Bonus Poker and three hands in I hit this beauty – a straight flush! But darn, why couldn’t it have given me that Ace instead of the Nine. I’ll still take it!
I played a while longer in the high limit room, but I didn’t get any more great hands. And for some reason, I never did see a cocktail waitress in there, which seemed odd. Oh well, I moved on to try my hand at some slots, and I actually got a few nice hits!
BAck to VP for a bit, but seriously, I think 4oaks are on strike this week. Do they have a union or something? Multiple 3oaks and I can’t convert any. So then I switched to Quick Quads, one of my favorite VP versions, even though the paytables here are horrible. But I think they heard me, because they did start to pay a bit! And I just love hearing that voice say “Quick Quads!”
I never did get another 4oak, but at least got enough 2 pair and other stuff to make my 1000 TC for the day. That was my goal, so now I think I’ll try some tables and hopefully change my luck!
Sadly, that didn’t work. Gambling went south, so I quit while I was still a bit up. I have another Message Board friend who I am meeting and we are going to try the Diamond Lounge at Paris for a drink and a snack.
The food was pretty good but the place was packed. From what I hear, it’s always packed during the hours that they serve hot food. I don’t think I would stand in line very long for it though. It’s a decent lounge but I prefer the comfort of the Ceasars DL. The bartenders do make some nice drinks though!
Even though gambling was up and down today, it was a great day! I did hit my goal of 1000 Tier Credits. And I got to meet to great members of our message board. That’s always a treat! I think that’s enough for today. I’m back in my room, I have some wine and I’m relaxing.
