Good morning Las Vegas, and I actually mean Good middle of the night! It’s much too early to be leaving Vegas. I am NOT a morning person! And this definitely tells me never to book an early flight home! I had such a great plan for this morning, relax in the room, got to the spa, a nice brunch, before heading to the airport. Oh well, best-laid plans …
I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep. Maybe I should have just stayed up? But I am not good a sleeping on the plane. The sad thing is that I was leaving, people were still up from the night before drinking and partying.
I need to grab my stuff and get to the airport!
I’m at the airport now. I got here before 4 AM and even the flight desks and TSA do not open until 4 AM. I could have slept 10 more minutes. LOL
One advantage to these early flights, it’s almost empty, maybe 50 people. I have a whole row to myself, at least for this flight. Flying to Oakland when trying to get to Indianapolis seems a bit backwards. Oh well.
8 Looooong hours later, I am finally back home. And I made it home before the storm.
I am home safe and sound and trying to recover from a great trip! My body is saying you had a bit too much fun, while the rest of me says, Hell yeah, that was a great trip! I can’t wait for the next one!
Final Wrap Up – January 18, 2019
My stay at Bally’s was great! I loved the Executive Suite. The view was nice, but I will say I preferred the Fountain View at Caesars. I will be staying at Paris in April, and I’m really glad because I fell in love with that part of the strip, and the walkway from Bally’s to Paris has so many great little restaurants. I wish I could have tried more of them, but you can only eat so much in a day. The food I did eat was all great! Not a complaint about any of them. I did post my review about Hell’s Kitchen already. Mon Ami Gabi was great, as always. And I enjoyed trying some of the smaller places. Even the food at the Paris Diamond Lounge was good. I had a MyVegas reward for the Mirage Buffet and also Nine Fine Irishmen at New York, New York, but never made it to either of those places.
I also wanted to try to get to Fremont Street, which didn’t happen, and a few other things on my list got skipped, but I did what I wanted, when I wanted, so that’s all good! The only other thing I really wanted to do and didn’t get to because of my flight change – I had planned to go to the Bally’s spa on Friday morning and then eat at Yong Kang. But I had to rush home because of a flight cancellation. Bummer, but there’s always next time!
The gambling didn’t go great, as you already know if you followed along. VP was just horrible all week. I saw Aces one time, no kicker, finally got threes with a kicker after dropping down to a nickel play. All total I maybe had quads 6 times in 5 days or play. Mississippi Stud was a little better, at least I hit a full house, which wiped out the losses on that game on the other days. On Ultimate Texas Holdem, I stayed pretty even. Slots were not great until the last night, and then finally I hit a few nice bonuses in a row! I think I ended that night up about $500 which really helped overall. I still ended the week way down, but did not wipe out my whole budget, which made me feel much better!! And when I figure up what I didn’t spend on hotel, food, and drinks, then the week was a win!
I also got to meet up with a few Message Board members, and that’s always a great time! Plus meeting a few new friends by hanging out in the Diamond Lounge.
Being back home, I’m already looking forward to my next trip in April! That will be my yearly Girls Trip with my daughter! And if I happen to come across a good deal, I may sneak one in before that. Although my body is saying, Hey there, give me a little break at least!
Thank you all so much for following along! It really does make me feel like I have a group of friends on the trip with me!
Until next time!
