Good morning again, Windsor! I’m ready for a new day.
Just a random thought. Apparently, housekeeping starts really early here. I had my Do Not Disturb sign out overnight so that I could sleep in. By the time I got up and showered and ready to go, this sign was on my door.
And that was as early as 9:30. So if you want housekeeping, you then have to contact them. No big deal really for me because I don’t need much, coffee refills maybe. It just seems a bit strange since most hotels start housekeeping after 11 or so, but maybe it was a busy checkout day because of the concert last night.
Well, since the slots still hate me, it’s back to video poker this morning and maybe some Mississippi Stud later on. I have now had to resort to nickel play, but at least it keeps me going and I’m staying within my budget!
I got a quick snack for now, a Nathan’s hot dog from Prontos, a little snack place upstairs. Yummy! I will probably hit the Diamond Lounge this evening to try their food.
Gambling is still going pretty rough. The $200 I won on Mississippi Stud yesterday, I gave back today. Video poker has been fickle. But I did play nickel and dime for quite a while on $20. I put almost $500 through the machine with that. So unless I hit something nice, it will be nickel VP the rest of the night. Oh well. Here’s a few hits and misses.
I’m sitting here just plugging away, hanging on with my nickels. A lady sits down next to me. She plays nickel TDB (Triple Double Bonus). Her first hand she gets DEALT aces. And then it gives her one kicker too for 4000. Then 5 hands later, 4 3s with a kicker! WTH? Why not me? (Can you hear the whine?)
I guess complaining worked. My very next hand …
I ended up playing for about 3 hours, switching between nickels and dimes, 3-play and 5-play. In for $100 out for $140. I didn’t get rich but I had lots of fun, won a little, and put over $2000 through the machines for the day mostly on nickels. That’s 200 Tier Credits. Not bad!
The only thing missing is the free alcohol. I sure hate paying for drinks! Sadly, this is my last day. I head home in the morning. I am not looking forward to the drive home.
After that, I hit the Diamond Lounge for a quick snack, and this time I got some pics. It’s more a mini buffet than a “lounge”. No place to really just chill. There is a small bar, but I asked if they had drink specials or just cheaper than the regular bars but “Nope.”
The food was OK. Not bad but not amazing. There was a salad section, cheese and veggies, sandwich rolls, and a few desserts. Not a place I’d come to just hang out.
So much for my last day. It was not a huge winning trip, but it was a lot of fun and I got to relax, which was on of my main objectives!
