Good morning Las Vegas! It’s 6 AM, and I’m wide awake. Thank you jetlag! I crashed hard last night before 10 PM. But I had been up since midnight so 22 hours. That’s not bad for me. On the bright side I got to see the sunrise over the fountains.
I made coffee and started planning the day. I’m thinking Cosmo today. I will try to put some decent play in there and hopefully get a teaser offer for the future. I hope the slots treat me better there. I will also try to meet up with another Vegas Message Board friend who is in town.
I’m walking to Bellagio to check out the Conservatory. It’s always beautiful! And then I will continue on to Cosmo. I would love to stay in a Terrace Studio some day, and I want to put in a bit of play there.
I realized this morning that I lost my sunglasses somewhere. They were cheap so no biggie. But do you think I can find some reasonably priced ones here? I highly doubt they have anything I can afford! Haha
I made it to the Conservatory at Bellagio. The Conservatory is beautiful! I try to see the new display on each trip, and they never disappoint!
I also had to stop at the Bellagio Patisserie. It smelled so good walking by there, my growling stomach made me stop! The Chocolate and Almond Crescent sure hit the spot!
I finished that delicious pastry and headed on to Cosmo. My first stop has to be Chandelier Bar. One of my favorite things to do in Vegas is to sit at Chandelier, drink a Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini, and play video poker!
I played video poker for quite a while sitting at Chandelier Bar. Those Lemon Drops are delicious, but they sure do sneak up on you. I had a few good hits, including a straight flush.
I ventured over to Aria for a bit to meet up with a friend. It’s “next door” but still a good walk! We played slots, had a few drinks, and had a great time visiting. It’s always great to meet up with people in Vegas. I have made many friends that will stay friends for life!
After we finished up, I walked back over to Cosmo. Video poker had all but given up on me, and I was starting to get hungry. I played enough at Cosmo to earn a free Wicked Spoon Buffet! The food was very good and there were plenty of options. I like that they have many items set up in individual serving bowls. And the desserts were delicious!
After dinner, more video poker! Sadly, it did not go great. I got a few hits to keep me playing, but that soon ended as well.
So to recap today:
- Slots hate me.
- VP was also up and down, but mostly down.
- On the plus side, I stuck to today’s budget and did NOT dig into tomorrow’s. Yay me!
- Bellagio Conservatory was beautiful.
- First time at Aria and it’s very nice.
- Got to visit with another VMBer, awesome time!
- Cosmo Chandelier bar, delicious! Wish VP had been better.
- Wicked Spoon was good, but I wouldn’t call it amazing.
I don’t really have any pics of anything great that I haven’t already posted. But tomorrow is a new day and a new budget! It has to get better? Right?
