Good morning Las Vegas, for the last time this trip.
I am sitting at the airport eating a bagel and coffee and waiting to board. Always sad to leave but my body says, “Ummm you need to rest those joints!” LOL What an awesome week, and I know I already have another trip planned for April.
I’ll write up final thoughts and reviews once I’m home. For now, See ya Vegas!
I am back home. Sitting with some wine, trying to come down from this week! What a wonderful trip! Some final thoughts, reflections and reviews…
My flight — This was the first time I flew SWA. I was a bit worried about their boarding process and not being able to pick my seat. But it all went really smoothly. On the way out, I paid for early boarding. I got A36 and got an aisle seat in the front few rows. On the way home I did not get early boarding but checked in as soon as able. I got B29 and still got an Aisle seat in row 9. I think more people look for the window seats, so I didn’t have a problem. There is no meal but drink and snacks and I love the Plane Cookies!!
Uber and Lyft – The last time I was in Vegas ride share was not yet available, but this year I used it exclusively and it was great! I had 25% off all Lyft rides this week which worked out great! All drivers were great and always arrived quickly. I will definitely use them next time!
Caesars – This was my first time staying at Caesars Palace. If you read the TR you saw the pics, and the room and view were great. A couple of minor issues — They have a Keurig coffee maker but you have to pay for the Kcups. I knew this up front so I brought my own, no biggie. However, the coffee did not taste great. I used my favorite Kcups and bottled water so I’m wondering if it was the machine. Also there are no fridges in the rooms, but I just asked and they brought one up. Other than that I loved CP and will stay there again.
I didn’t do everything on my list, which I figured. I had a MyVegas buffett for Mirage that I never got around to using. I never made it to In-N-Out Burger, darn it. But Smash Burger was delicious. I also wanted to walk around the Linq shops and didn’t make it. But there’s always next time!
Gambling was not great most of the week. I went through most of my budget, but not all! I would have liked to put more coin through some of the casinos, but when all you do is lose that gets hard. I did end the week on a good note with a win, so I’m happy with that. However, when I add up all the money I did NOT have to spend on rooms, food, shows, drinks, etc. I still lost less than I would have spent on those so I’m happy.
VMB meet ups. — I did get to meet a couple of VMBers which was great! Had an afternoon of drinks and gambling with a friend that we planned. Great times! And had an accidental meet with another member at MSS playing some VP.
I’m now already planning my next trip – April, for now – but I may need to plan one between now and then.
Thanks to all who followed along. I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time!
