Since it’s still 2 months until Vegas, I planned a quick 2-night trip locally. Mama (or I guess Grandmama now ) needs some action! Yes! I’m going to be a grandma!
I’m heading to a couple of “local-ish” casinos. And around here anything decent that’s local is still almost a 3-hour drive. Tomorrow morning I will get in the car and head north to Harrah’s in Joliet, IL. I like this place because the whole casino is non-smoking! It’s not huge but has the games I like to play. This trip will be mostly quarter video poker (unless I start running bad and then maybe nickel) and maybe some Mississippi Stud. I have about $40 in free play for this trip and a free buffet. I’m not really thrilled with the buffet there, but I’m sure I can find something.
Thursday afternoon sometime I will make the drive over to New Buffalo. I haven’t been there in almost a year so they recently sent me an offer for a free night, $100 free table play, and $40 food credit. So I figured why not! The only thing I don’t like about the free play is that since it’s table play they make you use the whole $100 at once. So I usually play it on red or black on roulette. Might throw $20 cash on the opposite color just to guarantee a little win at least.
I’m hoping to be posting some pics of nice VP hits. Maybe another Royal to follow my Laughlin trip?!? There probably won’t be much else going on other than gambling and maybe a few nice cocktails!
