After leaving the Mississippi Stud table, I went to get checked in. The rooms here are decent. If anyone is considering Joliet, I’ll add some pictures of the room. There is plenty of room, a desk, couch, fridge and coffee maker. That’s a win! I was able to get a Premium room. The only difference with a Premium room is that the room is on a secure floor, so you need a room key to get access. As a solo female traveler, I do appreciate that! You also get a couple of sodas and waters in the mini-fridge, and chocolates!
Now it’s time for some food. There are not a lot of food options here. The buffet is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. I’m not a fan anyway, so no biggie. The little Cafe is good, and the Reserve Steakhouse is very good for dinner.
I opted for the Diamond Lounge because… Free! It’s a nice lounge. They have an actual menu of real food every day, and it’s not bad. Drinks are not free here, being Illinois, but the diamond lounge has $3 specials daily. Today it’s Cosmos, tomorrow flavored Margaritas! Yum! Since I have to pay for drinks, I will not be a total degen this trip. I’ll save that for Vegas baby!

After dinner I played a bit more video poker. I had a few nice hits including a Royal Flush! It was in nickles, but I’ll take it!
I played a little more video poker, quarters and nickels. But nothing more to brag about. I tried a bit of slots too. Some Quick Hits and Lightning Link. I think slots hate me! No bonuses at all! All the wins and good hands I did have earlier did not cover for all the losses. I ended the day down, but I racked up close to another 1000 TC. Oh, and 2 badges. Yay. (note sarcasm here)
Although at this point the TC don’t really mean much. I’m at about 30K TC. That gives me access to the Diamond Lounge for next year. But there’s no way I’ll get enough to hit 7star. I may head over to Four Winds earlier tomorrow than originally planned.
