I played a bit more here at Harrah’s. I’m not hitting anything here so I’m packing up and driving over to Four Winds. I will post some pics of the room, etc for anyone who is thinking of going.
I made it to Four Winds. It’s been almost a year since I was here last so they gave me Jr. Suite, probably wanting my business back. The hotel here is definitely more high-end than Harrah’s. There is a sitting area, huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower, two TV’s, free water and coffee, a fridge, plus a microwave. This is awesome! I used to come here all the time until I decided to work on getting Diamond at CET.
Oh, and my view is very nice too! They have a pool here. Another plus, although I rarely use it. I’m usually too caught up in playing!
I’m going to try my luck. I’ll report on food options later!
I played my table free play on roulette and walked away up $75. Then I played Mississippi stud for almost 2 hours and walked away up $75 there. Not bad so far for the gambling!
Now it’s time for some food. I haven’t eaten anything yet today. I decided on Hard Rock. It has a good menu here, and I have $40 in comps for that. They also have an awesome steakhouse here, Copper Rock, if you want something more upscale. Their snack bar is also good and makes great pizza, burgers, and salads!
Hard Rock was very good as usual. It’s hard to spend $40 on 1 person when you can’t include alcohol. In Michigan casinos do not comp alcohol, therefore it cannot be paid for with a comp ticket. I got potato skins, Haystack Salad (very good) and a piece of cheesecake. Most of this will come to the room with me. Lol
Dinner is over, and it’s time for some more play so I head back to video poker. VP was a bust! They have this new table game, Criss Cross Poker. It’s basically Mississippi Stud doubled. I found it to be pretty fun and I’m up about $200 so far.
I ended up playing Criss Cross Poker for over five hours. Ouch my back! I had a few really hot streaks. Up and down but never had to go into my pocket for more cash! I started with 300 and finally left with 600! I’m thrilled, and I won back some of what I lost on VP this week.
If you enjoy Mississippi Stud, you will like this game. I’m surprised I have not seen it anywhere else. I’m hoping to find it in Vegas in September.
I am now worn out and ready to get some sleep. Not sure if I’ll play any tomorrow or just head home. Good night all! And thanks so much for following along.
